David Slaney is running for his life. Hot on his heels, police chase him though the woods behind the penitentiary that he's been locked inside for the past five years. Roy Patterson is also pursuing Slaney. An RCMP officer with a checkered past, Patterson squandered any respect he earned when his struggle with alcohol derailed the operation that first netted Slaney was allowed to escape.
