Clytaemnestra
This feature from Ougie Pak is a bold, provocative exploration of creativity, control, and abuse among an intensely insular Korean theater troupe. While in Greece to rehearse a production of Aeschylus’s “Agamemnon,” tensions between the largely female cast and their domineering, manipulative male director (Jongman Kim) escalate, as life and art merge to startling effect. Making vivid use of the Greek coastal landscapes, Pak fearlessly deconstructs the complex power and gender dynamics at play.
