Dr. Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy, juggles a budding medical career with the daily challenges of teenage life. At the hospital, Lahela’s genius confounds patients and colleagues, who dub her “Doogie” after the ‘90s TV series “Doogie Howser, M.D.” At home, her doting dad, Benny, and career-driven mom, Clara (Chief of Medicine and Lahela’s boss), fear she’s growing up too fast.
