Madam Beja

In love with Antônio since childhood, Beja finally finds herself engaged. But while they wait for Antônio to finish school abroad before they can wed, one of the King's magistrates grows enchanted with Beja and kidnaps her. After taking revenge on the magistrate and gaining an unexpected windfall by offering herself for money, Beja returns home to Araxá with a stained reputation… only to receive the devastating news that Antônio is married. Determined to rewrite her narrative, Beja opens a luxurious gentlemen's club where she calls the shots, and navigates an unexpected love triangle with Antônio and his best friend João. Filled with romance and secrets, Madam Beja (Dona Beja) reimagines the story of one of Brazil's most emblematic historical figures.
