Mexico: Earth's Festival of Life

Mexico: Earth's Festival of Life

Mexico is a larger country than often imagined, with the great chain of Sierra Madre mountains serving as its backbone. Along this range is an amazing diversity of life, from black bears and orchid bees to quetzals and clouds of monarch butterflies. This series will explore Mexico's astonishing wildlife, landscape and culture in three distinct worlds; great mountain ranges, tropical forests and scorching deserts. There will be journeys to the Serranias del Burro to search for black bears, to the Copper Canyon which has brought the gift of tequila to the masses, and to the rich cloud forest of southern Mexico, home to many rare creatures.
