Our Zoo

George Mottershead is haunted by memories of the Great War, living in his parents' house with his wife and two daughters, and looking for a change in life.When he witnesses a monkey and camel about to be put down, George can't stand to see the animals suffer so he decides to take them home to his parents' backyard. His family doesn't understand why he is doing it, but he has a plan. One day, while heading to an army reunion George finds a run-down home that is surrounded by acres of land. He decides to buy the property and builds the first British zoo without bars. His next challenge: convince his sceptical family to move into the house and help him run the zoo. `Our Zoo' is based on the true story of Chester Zoo.
