Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler

A gritty dive into 1960s and ‘70s London, this DC origin series follows the evolution of Alfred Pennyworth. After returning from serving nine years in the British Army, Alfred forms his own security company and eventually finds himself working for young billionaire Thomas and his wife Martha, future parents of Bruce Wayne. With help from SAS mates Bazza and Daveboy, cynical optimist Pennyworth forms The Delaney, a black-market club and security firm with a diverse mix of private clients. Taking on the injustices of dangerous secret society leaders, the devastation of a civil war, and the ill-intentions of some People with Enhancements (PWEs), Pennyworth embarks on a search for freedom, security, and even love, of his own.
