Queer You Are

Loosely drawn from creator/writer Bob Pop's own life, Queer You Are (Maricón perdido) follows Roberto Enríquez on a lifelong journey towards self-acceptance. Imaginative, incisive and irreverent, the series weaves between Roberto's fraught teen years in small-town 1980s Spain, his twenties as a university student searching for happiness in Madrid's Chueca neighborhood and his late adulthood as a self-realized writer. Blending drama and comedy to vibrantly capture the nuances of living as a proud gay man, challenging rigid beauty standards and navigating a disability, Pop takes audiences on an exhilarating ride that promises to captivate and inspire.
