The Pitt
Still reeling from the effects of the pandemic and the loss of his beloved mentor, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (executive producer Noah Wyle) welcomes a fresh batch of med students and interns to the understaffed and overcrowded emergency department at Pittsburgh’s Trauma Medical Center, affectionately referred to as “The Pitt.” Joining a diverse staff of residents, surgeons, nurses, and EMTs, the newcomers soon learn the highs and lows of emergency medicine – all while Robby contends with a hospital administration intent on cutting costs. Realistic and resonant, each episode of The Pitt tackles one hour of the staff’s shift, providing a visceral look at the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working around the clock to save lives.
