True North: Canadian Myths and Black Power

Set in 1960s Montreal, the film explores the Sir George Williams Affair, recentering Montreal as part of the global Black liberation movement. Archival footage and testimonies revisit student activism against institutional racism. Linking the Caribbean, Canada and US, it traces colonial legacies and centers elders' voices as a call to action and love letter to Montreal's radical history.
